Faces, places and some silent rebels- Realism and surrealism in street photography

Agnes Burger invites everyone to join her on a short journey through the streets of this world. A journey that reveals both light and shadow as her photography moves toward surrealism, alongside the enchanting world of black and white images capturing the faces of our world. Expect raw reality, emotion, and beautiful, fleeting encounters found in the streets. Some silent rebels. Just one moment, yet miles away.

A Personal Street Journey

A two part visual lecture built around personal street photography. The first part presents a selection of black and white work previously published, focusing on observation, structure, light and human presence across familiar environments. The second part introduces entirely new material from a recent trip to New York, widely regarded as the capital of street photography. This work remains unpublished and will be revealed for the first time at the festival. The presentation contrasts known visual language with fresh instinctive responses to one of the most intense urban stages in the world, highlighting continuity, evolution and personal interpretation through the street.
